Miss Requirements

To be a candidate in the Miss Moore County Competition, you must:
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 25 and a United States citizen.
  • Possess good moral character.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Be planning to attend or currently enrolled in an institute of higher education (technical, community, 4 year college or university), or a  graduate.
  • Be single and have never been married.
  • Meet residency requirements for competing in Miss Moore County- must live, work, or attend school for at least 6 months in Chatham, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Robeson or Scotland counties
  • Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.
  • Be in reasonably good health and able to meet the job requirements.
  • Actively involved or developing a community service platform.
  • Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the Miss Moore County and Miss Sandhills Scholarship Organization
  • Participate in these phases of competition:
    • Interview, Talent,Evening Gown with Social Impact Statement, and On-Stage Question

To be a candidate in the Miss  Sandhills Competition, you must:
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 25 and a United States citizen.
  • Possess good moral character.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Be planning to attend or currently enrolled in an institute of higher education (technical, community, 4 year college or university), or a graduate.
  • Be single and have never been married.
  • Meet residency requirements for competing in Miss Sandhills - open to all counties.
  • Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.
  • Be in reasonably good health and able to meet the job requirements.
  • Actively involved or developing a community service platform.
  • Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the Miss Moore County and Miss Sandhills Scholarship Organization.
  • Participate in these phases of competition :
    • Interview, Talent, , Evening Gown with Social Impact Statement , and On-Stage Question
